Celebrating 10 Years of Massage Therapy at RVC
In participation with Rock Valley College (RVC) right here in Rockford, IL we celebrated 10 Amazing Years of our massage therapy program earlier last month. It’s shocking to believe its been ten years when it feels no where near close to that. So much has changed and I have learned so much from teaching massage along with my fellow friends and colleagues. I could not have done this with out all of you so thank you so much!
Being a part of such an amazing group of people at RVC and having the privilege of being the Program Director really brings joy to my heart (along with tears of happiness) as I cannot believe we are celebrating 10 wonderful years of teaching massage therapy. So many of our students are now doing amazing things with massage and I could not be any more proud of them.
This ceremony was different.
As I looked around, I felt nothing but joy, humility, appreciation, and excitement for these ladies who graduated on May 13th because it marked a milestone–
a 10 year milestone!
As I watched them celebrate with their friends and family, I paused for a second to think about all those who have walked the stage before me – and it was so hard to not let go of a tear.
I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this special group and for our massage program moving forward.
With such amazing instructors, mentors, and managers such as Vonnie Busker, Melissa Paluzzi, and many more to list, I could not have done this without you and to all of you I say thank you with a BIG hug.
I know we have an amazing massage program right here in Rockford and will only get better from here!
Our students are truly one-of-a-kind, many of them sacrifice so much just to attend (some encounter unexpected challenges along the way) and we do all that we can to help each one make it to the finish line.
The genuine smiles and feeling of accomplishment on these young ladies at this ceremony was too unexplainable to put in words – you just had to be there.
So to this graduating class of Spring 2025, I say to you a very special congrats!!
You have a bright future ahead and my colleagues and I can’t wait to see what you accomplish as your new career in massage therapy moving forward.
Congrats again to all of you! I’m sure you will make us very proud.
